OKX Card Review: U.S. Mastercard Stablecoin Spending, Collateral Mechanics and Fees Explained
At a glance
The OKX Card is a virtual Mastercard that lets eligible US users spend USDC, USDT or USDG held in an OKX Pay wallet at merchants worldwide.
The OKX Card provides a direct way for verified users in most US states to spend stablecoins at Mastercard merchants without first converting holdings to fiat currency. Launched on November 2, 2026, the virtual-only card is issued by WebBank and secured by collateral held in an OKX Pay wallet. Eligible users can add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay for everyday purchases.
OKX Card Features, Security and Ease of Use
Stablecoins placed in the OKX Pay wallet set the available spending limit. Upon authorization, the required amount is reserved as collateral and cannot be withdrawn until the transaction settles. The card functions as a secured charge card rather than a debit or credit product, with the full balance due every 28 days. No physical card is issued at launch, and cash advances or ATM withdrawals are not supported.
Registration requires an existing OKX account with OKX Pay enabled and completion of identity verification. The card is available in most US states and territories, excluding Massachusetts, New York, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Users can check eligibility directly through the OKX app before applying. The platform serves more than 150 million users globally and previously introduced similar cards in Europe in January 2026.
Security relies on the collateral mechanism and WebBank as the issuer. No personal data beyond standard KYC is shared with merchants beyond what Mastercard normally requires. The card carries no APR because it is not a revolving credit product.
OKX Card Pricing, Rewards, Repayment and Limitations
Transaction and foreign-exchange fees are listed at 0 percent. A market spread of approximately 0.1 percent applies during the stablecoin-to-fiat conversion at checkout. There are no annual fees, late-payment fees, returned-payment fees or purchase fees. Rewards are available only in USDG and only when autopay is enabled. Classic tier users receive 2 percent cashback, while the top Infinite tier reaches 10 percent, subject to monthly caps between $50 and $1,500 and an annual cap of $18,000 at the highest level. Additional monthly rebates of up to $20 cover 50 percent of select subscription services when autopay is active.

Repayment occurs through either automatic liquidation of reserved stablecoins one business day after settlement or manual payment from a linked USD balance. Partial payments are not accepted. Any unpaid amount triggers liquidation of collateral, though liquidation is not guaranteed to cover the full obligation. USDG balances in OKX Pay earn tiered yield, starting at a 3.5 percent base rate above $10,000 and reaching up to 10 percent APY depending on tier.
Compared with similar stablecoin spending products, the OKX Card offers higher reward tiers but restricts rewards to USDG and requires autopay enrollment. Alternatives typically provide lower cashback rates without monthly caps or operate under different collateral structures. Current limitations include the virtual-only format, restricted state availability, and the absence of physical cards or ATM access. Expansion of state coverage remains possible but has not been confirmed as of November 4, 2026.
